Taj Mahal Double Island Kitchen
A Westlake kitchen renovation with two white islands beneath a wood-beamed ceiling, Taj Mahal quartzite counters, a quatrefoil mosaic tile backsplash, and a stone fireplace with a mounted TV in the adjoining living room.
Design Notes
This Westlake kitchen renovation centers on two large white islands topped in Taj Mahal quartzite, set beneath a ceiling of exposed wood beams and lit by a mix of fixtures — an iron cage-style chandelier, a turquoise-beaded chandelier, and a brass chandelier near the adjoining living room. White cabinetry runs throughout, with brass gooseneck faucets and a wall-mounted pot filler over the range, and a quatrefoil-pattern mosaic tile backsplash in white and gold behind the cooktop. Leopard-print counter stools line both islands, and a professional-style gas range with red-accented controls anchors the cooking wall.
The kitchen opens through an archway to a living room furnished with a cream sofa and patterned armchairs on a red patterned rug, centered on a stone fireplace with a mounted television and an arched window with wood mullions, and a separate archway reveals a black baby grand piano in an adjoining room.
