Our Process

Seven steps. One accountable team.

Every Swanson project flows through the same seven steps, starting with a 15-minute call with Chad. The last step is your final walkthrough. In between, you have one team, one schedule, and one point of contact.

  1. 01

    15 minutes

    Project-fit call

A call with Chad — phone or video. We talk through your goals, the property, timing, and investment expectations, and get a clear read on whether the project and Swanson Renovations are a strong mutual fit. If it looks aligned, Chad recommends the right next step.

  2. 02

    60-90 minutes

    On-site consultation

For projects that appear aligned, an in-home walk with Chad — plus your interior designer if you already have one, or Chad alone if you don't (we can introduce you to designers we trust after this step, if that's the path). Sixty to ninety minutes. By the end you'll know the realistic scope and whether we're a fit.

  3. 03

    6-12 weeks

    Design & planning

Detailed floor plans, 3D renderings, material specifications, lighting layouts, hardware selections. You see the kitchen, bath, or whole-home design fully resolved before construction begins. Three to four meetings to refine.

  4. 04

    1-2 weeks

    Transparent estimate

Itemized estimate after a thorough site walkthrough. Every line explained — cabinetry, stone, appliances, lighting, structural, MEP, project management, contingency. No vague "labor" line. The number you sign is the number you pay.

  5. 05

    1 week

    Contract & scheduling

Project scope, materials, payment terms, and timeline locked in a single construction contract. You know what to expect and when. Material orders go in immediately — the long-lead items (custom cabinetry, natural stone) gate everything.

  6. 06

    8-22 weeks

    The build

We run construction with daily updates, weekly site walkthroughs, and a single point of contact. We stay on schedule. The site stays clean — floors protected, dust contained, finished areas sealed off. Your designer is on-site for the design decisions as they arise; we don't substitute or value-engineer without her sign-off.

  7. 07

    1 day

    Final walkthrough & celebration

Detailed walkthrough together. Every detail checked, every punch-list item closed before we hand you keys. Then it's time to live in the home — and a year later, six months later, when you tell us the kitchen still feels right, we know we built it well.
