Colleyville Kitchen Renovation — Macaubas

Design Notes

This Colleyville kitchen, designed by A Well Dressed Home, was a face-lift renovation: the original kitchen had two islands, which were removed and replaced with one large island with seating, matched to the existing navy-blue perimeter cabinetry, along with some minor cabinet modifications to update the space.

The new island is finished in Macaubas quartzite, its dramatic gray veining carried up a full-height backsplash behind the range in bookmatched slabs, intentionally paired for the veining detail. Glass-front upper cabinets and a furniture-style hood surround complete the range wall. A pair of oversized geometric lantern pendants hangs over the island, and the kitchen is fully outfitted with a built-in refrigerator, a professional-style range, and a farmhouse sink at the island. Natural oak floors run throughout, and the kitchen opens through a brick archway to an adjoining butler's pantry and to the living spaces beyond.
